About The Position

We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Electrical Apprenticeship Instructor to support the education and development of electrical apprentices. This full-time role is responsible for delivering high-quality classroom and hands-on instruction, supporting apprentice success, and ensuring training aligns with industry standards and apprenticeship requirements. The ideal candidate is a licensed Journeyman Electrician with a passion for teaching, mentoring, and developing the next generation of skilled electricians.

Requirements

  • Valid Journeyman Electrician License
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician
  • Instructor certifications required (NCCER, OSHA, or equivalent), or willingness to obtain paid by Company
  • Prior teaching, training, or mentoring experience (formal or informal)
  • Strong working knowledge of the NEC and industry standards
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to diverse learners
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and workforce development
  • Basic computer skills for reporting, documentation, and communication

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with apprenticeship programs (DOL, NCCER, IEC, or similar)
  • Bilingual in Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to apprentices and instructors to support skill development, performance, and professional growth
  • Lead and oversee instructional staff, ensuring consistent delivery of curriculum, training standards, and classroom effectiveness
  • Deliver classroom instruction covering electrical theory, code, safety, and best practices
  • Provide hands-on training and demonstrations aligned with curriculum standards
  • Support apprentices in developing technical skills and professional work habits
  • Track attendance, progress, and completion of required coursework
  • Prepare apprentices for assessments, certifications, and on-the-job success
  • Maintain compliance with apprenticeship, safety, and training requirements
  • Collaborate with apprenticeship, field, and training leadership to continuously improve program outcomes
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
