The Electrical and Low Voltage Wiring Technician installs, terminates, labels, tests, and troubleshoots low-voltage cabling and related infrastructure within an active hospital environment. This role supports critical clinical and facility systems (e.g., nurse call, access control, CCTV, fire alarm interfaces, paging, BAS/controls, Wi Fi, and structured cabling) and may assist with related electrical installation tasks within scope (e.g., device power supplies, pathways/supports, and coordination with licensed electricians) while maintaining strict safety, infection-control, and patient-privacy requirements. The technician coordinates work with Facilities, IT, Security, clinical stakeholders, and construction teams to minimize downtime and disruption to patient care.
