This role implements and maintains electrical power circuits and equipment, control and automation systems, and electronic and pneumatic equipment used in pipeline, pump stations, compressor stations, and measurement facilities. The technician is responsible for all activities related to electrical and control integrity, including design, installation, inspection, maintenance, operation, troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and adjustment of various pneumatic, hydraulic, electric, electronic, and Programmable Logic (PLC) control systems. The position also involves performing preventative maintenance checks on pumps, compressors, drivers, and auxiliary equipment, as well as inspection and maintenance (I&M) checks on all control systems. Maintaining electrical switchgear and power distribution, performing advanced engine/compressor/pump analytical testing and troubleshooting, and leading efforts to implement changes based on analytical testing are key aspects of the role. The technician will also be involved in the evaluation, development, implementation, and maintenance of facility grounding systems. General upkeep, maintenance, janitorial, and housekeeping duties of facilities and equipment are also required. All work must be performed in compliance with Company standards, procedures, regulatory, and tariff requirements, with a focus on identifying, reporting, and correcting safety and environmental concerns. The role requires completing appropriate documentation, overseeing third-party work, demonstrating performance towards operational excellence, and interacting with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy, and professionalism. Clear communication, regular and dependable attendance, high performance, and the ability to work non-traditional hours are essential. The technician must maintain Operator Qualification on assigned tasks and uphold a high regard for safety. Other daily, weekly, monthly, or special project duties may be assigned.
