About The Position

Responsible for reviewing current internal and external quality indicators and ensuring quality of parts provided by suppliers. This role involves field quality improvement and evaluation activities, particularly for the electrical system, focusing on technical solutions, claim cost reduction, and customer complaint minimization. The specialist will execute and implement quality activities in compliance with company goals (IQS, VDS, Plant Winner, CR, 3M, 12WM, 36WM, QMP, etc.). They will plan and ensure the quality of KD supplied parts through collaborative partnerships within the company and with KD suppliers via meetings. Travel is required to conduct field investigations on incident vehicles to understand customer concerns. The role also includes executing special projects for production support, preparing detailed plans, reports, and schedules for the Quality Assurance team, and ensuring compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field along with two (2) to five (5) years of progressive experience in the supplier quality field in a manufacturing environment preferably within the automotive industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong self-responsibility, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Flexible schedule to work overtime, holidays and weekends as required.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Analytical problem solving and effective decision-making skills.
  • Ability to perform multi-tasks with multiple priorities within a designated time frame.
  • Broad understanding and application of the automotive industry standards.
  • Ability to understand and meet diverse backgrounds of customers’ needs and global business.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in both exercising company decisions and carrying out essential job duties that affect efficient business operations and its objectives, policies, practices, and conditions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
  • Experience with SAP system preferred.
  • Possess technical skills and knowledge of quality control systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Understand Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
  • Bilingual preferred.
