About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electric Motor Test & Repair Technician to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the performance, reliability, and quality of electric motors used in both new manufacturing and service operations. You will support new product development, improve existing processes, and play a critical role in diagnosing, repairing, and validating motor performance. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in electric motor assembly, repair, and testing is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Proficiency with precision measuring instruments, oscilloscopes, and data acquisition systems.
  • Familiarity with motor testing software, diagnostic tools, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Strong understanding of basic mathematics and electrical principles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to quality, accuracy, and safety.
  • Clear communication and documentation abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certifications in electrical systems, motor repair, or related fields preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct diagnostic testing and inspections on newly manufactured and repaired electric motors to ensure they meet all performance specifications.
  • Evaluate motors for repair, perform tear-down and rebuild procedures, and document findings according to company standards.
  • Set up and operate motor test stands, magnetizing and balancing equipment, and electrical monitoring instruments.
  • Accurately record and maintain test data using approved company systems and tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot motor-related issues and recommend effective corrective actions.
  • Follow established testing and repair schedules and provide timely updates to management.
  • Assist in training assembly technicians on testing and repair procedures when needed.
  • Comply with all company safety, quality, and operational standards.
  • Recommend improvements to tools, equipment, and processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Manager or Supervisor.
