We anticipate the need for one or more Electric Meter Helper(s) to join our Xcel Energy Team at our Rice Street Service Center in St Paul, MN. Starting rate is $32.51 per hour with a thereafter rate of $36.44 per hour. This position will be posted for 10 Working Days from July 24, 2026, - August 11, 2026.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic electrical knowledge.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work and get along with other people, be able to meet public.
- AC/DC Fundamentals.
Responsibilities
- Performs general housekeeping functions.
- Operates forklift in Loading/unloading equipment shipments, and in moving inventory/stock.
- Fills, cleans, packages, ships, receives meter orders from other areas.
- Delivers/ picks up materials as required.
- Completes receipt/ shipment/ ordering documentation as required.
- Works with other shop and field personnel in prioritizing and completion of work and maintenance of appropriate record and paperwork.
- Accepts additional training required by the company to keep abreast of metering technology and automation techniques.
- This position will require lifting, pulling and stretching.
