About The Position

This is a one-time job for an Electric Handyman. The role involves diagnosing and repairing faulty light ballasts in commercial and industrial settings, replacing various types of ballasts, and inspecting lighting systems. The handyman will also perform routine maintenance, interpret electrical schematics, coordinate with supervisors and clients, and maintain a safe work environment.

Requirements

• Prior experience with ballast replacement, lighting repair, or general electrical work
• Familiarity with fluorescent, LED, and HID lighting systems
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and follow electrical safety protocols
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites in and around Mt. Pleasant, MI
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Nice To Haves

• Electrical license or certification is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faulty light ballasts in commercial and industrial settings
• Replace fluorescent, LED, and HID ballasts as needed to restore proper lighting function
• Inspect lighting systems for wear, damage, or code compliance issues
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams and electrical schematics
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on lighting fixtures and ballast components
• Coordinate with project supervisors and clients to complete work on schedule
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment on all job sites
