About The Position

WECTEC Staffing Services, a subsidiary of Westinghouse Electric Company LLC, is seeking an Electric Lead/Coordinator for a 6-12 month contract position at the Palisades Nuclear Plant in Covert, MI. This is a full-time, onsite role where the individual will act as the key resource for electrical activities, leading electricians to meet project milestones, and reporting potential issues, interferences, and schedule deficiencies to management. The role requires adherence to all safety requirements, including stopping work and reporting any safety concerns immediately.

Requirements

Electrician with 3 years Lead Experience
Experience in maintenance modifications
Installation/ fabrication of Conduit and Supports
Installation of copper and fiber cables
Cable terminations and modifications
Installation of power and control panels/ switch gear
Use a multi meter to include Live-Dead-Live
Raychem splicing of low voltage
Electrical safe work practices
Clearance order verifications
Temporary power installation
Experience in nuclear power as JM electrician
Will read, write, speak and take tests in English without an interpreter or accommodations per US nuclear requirement
Must have a Journey OR NCCER Industrial electrician certification OR equivalent experience, such as nuclear plant qualification
Must have High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent
Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

Act as the key resource for look-ahead for electrical activities
Work as an Electrician with Lead responsibilities
Report back to the Management team of any potential problems, working interference, and any schedule deficiencies
Assist in resolving any issues
Lead Electricians to complete the project meeting milestones set for the project
Adhere to all safety requirements, stop work and report any safety issues immediately should they arise
