About The Position

The Election Organizer is a passionate advocate for LGBTQ+ equality in Florida, committed to intersectional justice and supporting vulnerable communities. They are energized by grassroots organizing and building people power, and ready to mobilize volunteers and strengthen community partnerships in support of pro-equality candidates. This role requires someone who is outgoing and personable, and not afraid to talk to strangers.

Requirements

• Candidates must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• The successful candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to advancing Equality Florida's goals and objectives

Nice To Haves

• Past campaign, elections, or field/community organizing experience is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Conduct phone banking to recruit and mobilize volunteers for elections work
• Host voter outreach workshops to train and engage the volunteer base around elections work
• Help lead Days of Action for Equality Florida endorsed candidates throughout the state
• Support Equality Florida's elections work in your assigned region
