About The Position

This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) permanent position for an ELD Teacher for grades 9-12 at Mira Loma High School. The position is for the 2026-27 school year. Mira Loma High School is designated as a High-Needs School. The salary range is $60,000 - $126,000 annually, with specific placement on the salary schedule dependent on candidate status (internal vs. external). Additional annual stipends are available for hard-to-staff Special Education positions, counselor, social worker, and teacher librarian positions, advanced degrees, various extra-curricular activities, and various "leadership" roles.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid California teaching credential for grades 7-8 or 9-12.

Nice To Haves

  • Internal employees may be placed on Column 5 of the salary schedule; external candidates will have a maximum incoming placement on Column 4.

Responsibilities

  • Teach English Language Development (ELD) to students in grades 9-12.
  • Fulfill the requirements of a 10-month contract, working 186 days per year, 5 days per week, with a professional work day.
