The Company serves a diverse commercial and military customer base from its Global EMI Shielding Technology Center located in Tampa, Florida. Every detail of the company’s one-of-a-kind manufacturing facility is tailor-engineered to streamline and improve customer service, engineering, and manufacturing processes. The Elastomer Technician is responsible for providing day-to-day support for process-related activities for the Elastomer room, including setting up, operating, or tending machines. Candidates will train during the day before being transferred to the night shift.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • One to three years of experience desired in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operates extruders, mills, mold presses, and click presses.
  • PSA application, hot and cold bonding.
  • Adjust machine components to regulate speeds, pressures, and temperatures, and amounts, dimensions, and flow of materials or ingredients.
  • Monitor machine operators and observe lights and gauges to detect malfunctions.
  • Assist with bonding, cutting, and other assigned tasks.
  • Must be able to perform, but not limited to, the following tasks: read blue prints, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring equipment.
  • Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows all safety regulations.
