About The Position

As a data engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll help build advanced technology solutions and implement data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. You’ll deploy and develop pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful. Here, you’ll work with and guide a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment. You’ll use your experience in analytical exploration and data examination while you manage the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms for your clients. Requirements

5+ years of experience with SIEM platforms such as Elastic Security, Kibana, Splunk Enterprise Security, Sentinel, or Chronicle
3+ years of experience designing data pipeline architectures for security operations, including log collection, normalization, enrichment, and routing
2+ years of experience with Elastic Stack, Logstash, Elasticsearch, Kibana, and Agents, including installing, configuring, maintaining, upgrading, and troubleshooting these products
Experience deploying platforms across cloud, on-premises, and disconnected environments using Kubernetes or Docker
Experience with configuration management or DevOps tooling, including Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Terraform
Experience working in highly structured, controlled, classified or compartmented environments with strict access enforcement
Knowledge of hot-warm-cold-frozen data tiering, blob storage, and index lifecycle strategies
Knowledge of ingest pipelines, enrichment, and cluster monitoring tools
Top Secret clearance
HS diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting large-scale observability solutions, including metrics, traces, or logs
Experience with stream processing or data brokering platforms such as Cribl, Kafka, NiFi, or equivalent
Experience with DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines in IL5, IL6, or IL7 environments
Experience with Python, Bash, or other scripting languages for automating system operations tasks
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems
DoD 8140 baseline Certification, such as Security+, CISSP, CISSP-ISSEP, or CASP+ Certification
