About The Position

A Teacher at Graduation Solutions’ private schools is an innovative educator that prioritizes academics and student progress. The Teacher will focus on knowing students’ academic needs, as they develop and provide instruction to support their level and growth throughout the academic year. They will encourage critical thinking, problem solving, and cooperation when implementing pedagogy that supports the state standards and best practices. They will provide a structured classroom environment to optimize instructional time and encourage life-long learners. They will analyze formative and summative assessment data to apply best practices for learning to continue to support student educational growth now and in the future. The Key Performance Indicator (KPI) that measures the Teacher’s efficacy and successfulness is based on student progress. Success in this position is measured by 70% of students making one year’s progress in subject.

  • Degree: Bachelor's degree in education, or a related field or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. You are required to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • 2 years of related field experience; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge; skills and abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Instruction: Deliver effective and engaging instruction in various subjects, including mathematics, language arts, science, and social studies using provided curriculum with efficacy and fidelity. Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction for all student learners.
  • Planning: Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and instructional materials based on the curriculum guidelines.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a well-organized and conducive classroom environment that promotes learning and positive behavior. Provide additional support to students who may be struggling academically or emotionally, including referring them to appropriate resources. Ensure student safety and build a positive classroom culture.
  • Assessment: Assess student progress through regular evaluations, quizzes, tests, and other assessment methods. Provide constructive feedback to students and parents. Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development.
  • Engagement: Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and academic concerns. Respond to parent inquiries and maintain open lines of communication to support student success. Engagement in campus wide vision and mission to ensure alignment with the school culture.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
