About The Position

Seeking an ELA/ Social Studies Classroom Teacher for Central Middle School. This position requires a valid Michigan Teaching certificate with ELA and Social Studies endorsement. The ideal candidate will have experience in planning, preparing, and delivering engaging instructional activities, creating a positive learning environment, and fostering student achievement. Responsibilities include instructing students, monitoring progress, assessing performance, and providing feedback. The teacher will also be expected to collaborate with colleagues, adapt to new technologies, and maintain professional behavior.

Requirements

Valid Michigan Teaching certificate with ELA and Social Studies endorsement.
Minimum of a Bachelors Degree.
Must be Highly Qualified in endorsement area.
Must meet certification and endorsement requirements for assignment.
Must meet all NCA and Michigan Department of Education requirements.
Be proficient in the use of technology.

Nice To Haves

Grade level experience preferred.
Master’s degree preferred.

Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students.
Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments and provide appropriate feedback on work.
Bend, twist, stoop, squat and lift up to 50 pounds in assisting students.
Assume other responsibilities as determined by their supervising administrator.
Conducts himself/herself in a professional manner commensurate with his/her position and project a good public image of the School District in dealing with the community and employee groups.
