Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum one (1) year experience as an EKG Technician
Current certification as an EKG Technician
Knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology
Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
Ability to operate EKG equipment
Ability to read and interpret EKG tracings
Ability to maintain accurate patient records
Basic computer skills
Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to provide patient education on EKG procedures

Responsibilities

Perform EKG tests on patients as requested by physicians
Analyze test results and provide necessary reports to physicians
Set up and maintain EKG equipment
Ensure the accurate and timely completion of all EKG tests
Prepare patients for EKG tests
Educate patients and families about the EKG process
Maintain patient confidentiality
Monitor patient vital signs during EKG tests
Operate EKG machines, monitor, and interpret EKG readings
Coordinate with other medical staff and provide necessary assistance
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the exam room
Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols
Place, maintain, monitor and process Cardiac Holter and Mobile Telemetry monitors
