The EKG Technician II is responsible for operating electrocardiographic equipment, including the electrocardiograph, 24/48 hour holter monitors, PowerChart Cardiovascular, and stress electrocardiographic equipment, while prioritizing patient welfare, confidentiality, and comfort.

Requirements

Completion of the EKG Technician II Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire
Typing and computer skills
Good interpersonal communication

Responsibilities

Performs electrocardiogram procedures independently or under direct supervision of a physician.
Operates electrocardiographic equipment, including the electrocardiograph, 24/48 hour holter monitors, PowerChart Cardiovascular, and stress electrocardiographic equipment.
Ensures patient welfare, confidentiality, and comfort are top priorities during procedures.
Follows established policies and protocols using established anatomical positioning and physiology to produce optimum electrocardiographic data.
