The EKG Technician is responsible for performing EKGs and transmitting them to a Cardiologist for interpretation. This role involves self-dispatching cases, obtaining and scanning required documents, verifying cases upon completion, and responding to pages promptly. The technician will also be responsible for the care and maintenance of equipment, demonstrating regular attendance, and communicating professionally with colleagues, supervisors, and clients. Maintaining a valid driver's license, meeting health requirements, and operational requirements are essential. The role requires driving to various client locations, with occasional overtime and schedule changes possible based on business needs. The technician will attend meetings, submit accurate time sheets, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and perform special projects or other duties as assigned. Training other technicians may also be required. Technicians must wear the proper company uniform and ID badge and undergo annual medical physical examinations, tuberculosis skin tests, and infection control in-service training, with documentation submitted to Human Resources.
