About The Position
As an EKG Tech, you will help patients perform diagnostic electrocardiograms (EKGs) so they can assess cardiac function. Every day you will prepare patients, explain procedures, and accurately operate EKG machines. You will be expected to record heart activity, perform computer-assisted EKGs, transfer data, edit EKG reports, apply/remove and scan holter monitors, process Tran telephonic Reports (assigning and evaluating results), and assist the MD/RN during patient diagnostic testing procedures. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong technical proficiency, meticulous data collection, and excellent patient communication, contributing to accurate cardiac diagnostics.
Requirements
- High School Graduate General Studies
- 1-3 years of healthcare experience, upon hire
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CT CPRBLS), upon hire
