EIC Technician Supervisor
About The Position
Our Generation Maintenance department is looking for an EIC Technician Supervisor at Holcomb Station. As the successful candidate, you will direct and plan EIC maintenance while utilizing your leadership and coaching abilities. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of talented personnel in the EIC group as well as several other departments. In addition to mentoring and supervising direct reports, you will also use your organizational ability and planning skills to prepare for outages and coordinate work requests/orders of the group, while providing technical support when needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma and five years industrial practical electrical, instrument, and control experience and coal-fired power plant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Supervisory, leadership, and coaching skills and abilities.
Responsibilities
- Direct and plan EIC maintenance.
- Mentor and supervise direct reports.
- Prepare for outages.
- Coordinate work requests/orders of the group.
- Provide technical support.
- Gain supervisory experience including performance appraisals, hiring & staffing, performance management.
- Coach, mentor, and provide leadership to a group of talented direct reports.
- Use EIC experience to guide and influence maintenance activities at our 349-megawatt unit.
- Directly impact safety, reliability, and efficiency at Sunflower's Holcomb Station.
- Make a difference in helping Sunflower achieve its mission to provide reliable and efficient power for our Member-Owners and the Kansans they serve.
