About The Position

Crimson Group is expanding and seeking a Technical Recruiter with a strong understanding of Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls (EIC) and Automation. This role goes beyond high-volume recruiting; we’re looking for someone who can strategically source, engage, and attract specialized technical talent across North America. If you enjoy flexibility, working in a self-directed manner, know the difference between a PLC and an RTU, understand field vs. engineering roles, networking gives you energy, and you are able to build relationships with hard-to-reach candidates, this role will be a strong fit. Crimson Group provides total integration of design, project management, panel manufacturing, installation/commissioning, maintenance, and repair for North America and select international markets.

Requirements

  • Recruiting experience, preferably in technical, industrial, or energy sectors
  • Strong understanding of EIC, Automation, or related disciplines
  • Familiarity with roles such as Instrumentation & Electrical Technicians, Automation Specialists, and SCADA professionals
  • Proven ability to source and engage passive candidates in competitive markets
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build credibility with both candidates and hiring leaders
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
  • Comfortable with travel across Canada and the U.S. as required

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years+ experience recruiting in oil & gas, utilities, or industrial automation
  • Formal education in Instrumentation, Electrical, Automation, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for EIC, Automation, and technical field roles
  • Act as a strategic partner to hiring managers to understand workforce needs and market conditions
  • Proactively source and engage candidates across platforms (LinkedIn, referrals, industry networks, etc.)
  • Build and maintain strong pipelines of electricians, instrument techs, automation specialists, engineers, and project professionals
  • Screen candidates for both technical capability and cultural fit
  • Support hiring strategies for field-based, project-based, and rotational roles (including travel requirements)
  • Track and report on recruitment metrics and pipeline activity
