Technician II and III assignments include coaching junior technicians, assisting with work orders and inventory, and addressing conditions that may cause errors; Technician III also periodically observes other maintenance technicians’ work for compliance with procedures and safety guidelines. The role may require extensive travel to other project locations, including rural areas and other states. It requires the ability to respond to emergency calls and to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. The work environment can include confined spaces, elevated areas, harsh weather, and exposure to hazardous chemicals, electrical currents, gases, dust, and noxious odors.
