About The Position

The EHS Shift Technician is responsible for supporting Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) activities during the assigned shift. This role ensures compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and QEHS management systems while promoting a safe working environment. The position collaborates with operations, contractors, and vendors to reduce risk and maintain world-class safety standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of EHS experience, including at least one year in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of federal and state Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations.
  • Knowledge of risk identification and mitigation practices.
  • Ability to conduct audits and ensure regulatory and procedural compliance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently during assigned shift hours.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 9001 management systems.
  • Experience planning and implementing EHS programs.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and related EHS risks.
  • Basic knowledge of ergonomics, industrial hygiene, and risk analysis methodologies.
  • Experience with SAP and SharePoint systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain site EHS procedures and records, including Powered Industrial Truck documentation.
  • Coordinate documentation, deployment, compliance, and continuous improvement of assigned EHS processes.
  • Work with contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with LEGO EHS policies and procedures.
  • Provide EHS-related training to site employees.
  • Assist with documentation and investigation of EHS-related incidents and events.
  • Conduct audits of site activities to ensure compliance with EHS standards and procedures.
  • Support ergonomic reviews of production equipment and processes and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide general support for site EHS initiatives and programs.
  • Promote safe work practices and positive safety behaviors.
  • Support implementation and effectiveness of the QEHS Management System within assigned operational areas.
  • Comply with QEHS standards, applicable legal requirements, and company policies.
  • Participate in identifying and addressing risks and opportunities related to Environmental, Health & Safety and Quality Management Systems.
  • Demonstrate leadership and proactive engagement in QEHS initiatives.
