About The Position

As an EHS Technician Lead for Kohler Co., you will serve as an ambassador of the Kohler brand and the Vikrell product line. In this role, you will support the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) team in maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring environmental compliance across the facility. You will promote a culture of safety stewardship while providing guidance and support to frontline supervisors, team leads, and associates. Key responsibilities include managing waste streams, coordinating waste removal activities, maintaining compliance documentation and manifests, conducting safety and environmental audits, and performing shop floor inspections to ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements. You will also support housekeeping and 5S initiatives and help drive continuous improvement in workplace safety and organization.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work in the US without restrictions or sponsorship.
  • Effective communication skills for manufacturing production processes.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience of leading a team or functional area is preferred.
  • Forklift certified or capable of obtaining a license.
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
  • Previous experience with a strong work ethic that includes the ability to work 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts while sitting, standing, bending, twisting, and lifting.
  • The flexibility to change shifts as the plant moves into future phases of production and operability.
  • A positive, adaptable, hard-working, and patient mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Support environmental compliance by managing Haz Waste, performing air monitoring and support spill prevention clean up and Emergency response.
  • Perform routine regulatory environmental inspections & safety audits.
  • Assist with maintaining records & data management to support compliance.
  • Assist with training and guidance to employees on safe EHS work practices such as PPE use and emergency procedures.
  • Assist with supporting continuous improvement initiatives to reduce risk, improve sustainability, and enhance compliance.
  • Support in training associates.
  • Operate forklifts to move waste materials to designated areas or bins.
  • Enter and maintain training records.
  • Run basic reports via KPA Software.
  • Perform other related duties consistent with the nature of the job, as directed by the Supervisor or Management.
  • Complete and maintain training on all applicable SOPs, and procedures.
