About The Position

The EHS Technician I is responsible for ensuring that workplace conditions support the health and safety of everyone in the facility. The technician also helps maintain and improve the facility’s environmental impact. This is an on-site role, five days per week, on second shift. The position works closely with a supervisor and a small team and is designated as safety sensitive.

Requirements

Familiarity with site environmental and safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
Ability to maintain company-wide safety, health, and environmental programs.
Ability to analyze and process areas for potential hazards.
Ability to appropriately intervene and correct unsafe conditions.

Responsibilities

Ensure workplace conditions meet health and safety needs for facility workers.
Help maintain and improve the facility’s environmental impact.
Work closely with a supervisor and a small team.
Create and conduct trainings.
Communicate through email, phone, and in person.
Lead safety teams.
Create, review, and implement EHS standard work and analyze its effectiveness.
Help maintain company-wide safety, health, and environmental programs.
Analyze areas for potential hazards.
Intervene appropriately to correct unsafe conditions.
