About The Position

The Departmental Team Lead is responsible for assisting the EHS Manager in overseeing the operation of all EHS functions within any Waco Facility, involving departments such as Welding, Buffing, Core & Coil Assembly, Winding, Lacing, Tanking, Testing, Paint – Primer, Paint – Final, and Final Finish. The role emphasizes adherence to quality, safety, and efficiency standards, including 5S practices. The Team Lead will train operators, facilitate communication, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the EHS Manager in overseeing all EHS functions within the Waco Facility.
  • Ensure team members follow defined EHS procedures and comply with quality & safety requirements.
  • Ensure full adherence to 5S practices at all times.
  • Consistently promote high standards through personal example.
  • Work with EHS Manager to ensure all records are completed appropriately.
  • Ensure non-conformance issues are clearly identified and handled properly, and that the EHS Manager is made aware.
  • Ensure EHS Manager is made aware of any quality or safety concerns.
  • Assist EHS Manager in ensuring the Team is aware of day-to-day targets and responsibilities.
  • Responsible for training of operators on products and processes within the Department.
  • Work closely with EHS Manager on daily management and provide support for the Team to meet operational goals.
  • Work closely with EHS Manager monitoring the completion of tasks and ensuring good performance within NetSuite.
  • Facilitate communication with other Departments throughout the Business and ensure effective communication is maintained.
  • Provide feedback to the Management team to share ideas and improve operation.
  • Recommend, support, and implement continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements to optimize results and improve quality of delivery.
  • Provide technical expertise to the Team.
