Requirements

Minimum of a High school diploma/GED
At least 5 years of experience in a Safety and/or Environmental position
At least 2 years of operations experience
Effective communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
Commitment to safety, actively involved in their division’s safety initiatives

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in safety or environment
Environmental or occupational safety experience in an industrial setting
Knowledge of wastewater treatment operations
Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, including industrial hygiene and testing
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
Must have supervisor and/or manager recommendation
Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate the Environmental, Health and Safety programs for NTSPA.
Take a lead role in plant-wide culture building, environmental and safety management, training, audits and community outreach.
Interact with all teammates to ensure understanding of and compliance with federal, state and local environmental and safety regulations.
Develop and provide applicable training to ensure compliance with key regulatory requirements.
Participate in corporate environmental and safety initiatives.
Responsible for water treatment operations.
Uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
