Requirements

  • Minimum of a High school diploma/GED
  • At least 5 years of experience in a Safety and/or Environmental position
  • At least 2 years of operations experience
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
  • Commitment to safety, actively involved in their division’s safety initiatives

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in safety or environment
  • Environmental or occupational safety experience in an industrial setting
  • Knowledge of wastewater treatment operations
  • Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, including industrial hygiene and testing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Must have supervisor and/or manager recommendation
  • Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the Environmental, Health and Safety programs for NTSPA.
  • Take a lead role in plant-wide culture building, environmental and safety management, training, audits and community outreach.
  • Interact with all teammates to ensure understanding of and compliance with federal, state and local environmental and safety regulations.
  • Develop and provide applicable training to ensure compliance with key regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in corporate environmental and safety initiatives.
  • Responsible for water treatment operations.
  • Uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
