We are looking for an energetic, hands-on, and solutions-driven Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our manufacturing team. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or production environments preferred
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and workplace safety regulations
  • Strong communication, training, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across departments
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and reporting systems
  • Ability to influence positive behavioral and cultural change

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in textiles, industrial manufacturing, or heavy manufacturing
  • OSHA certifications or EHS-related certifications
  • Experience with incident investigations and root cause analysis
  • Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement experience

Responsibilities

  • Partner with plant leadership to promote a proactive safety culture focused on prevention and accountability
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS policies, procedures, and programs
  • Conduct safety audits, inspections, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns while helping implement corrective actions
  • Support OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory compliance activities
  • Coordinate safety training and employee engagement initiatives
  • Maintain EHS records, reports, permits, and documentation
  • Monitor environmental compliance programs including waste management, air emissions, and chemical handling
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, ergonomics, and operational efficiency
  • Work closely with supervisors and employees to identify opportunities for safer processes and work practices
  • Assist with emergency response planning and preparedness activities
  • Support contractor safety and compliance programs
  • Help drive safety metrics, reporting, and communication across departments
