About The Position

Join our dynamic team as an Environmental Health & Safety Professional and make a meaningful impact on workplace safety and environmental sustainability! Help with implementation and maintaining the EHS programs & management system. Monitor compliance with EHS programs by conducting regular safety audits, hazard assessments, and root-cause analyses to identify potential risks and ensure that corrective action is taken. Assist in performing routine EHS inspections and evaluations. Maintain records related to safety programs. Aid in safety training, including new hire orientation training. Investigate injuries, near misses, conditions, and incidents to discover root causes and ensure effective corrective actions are implemented. Assist with the implementation of the ergonomic plan at the facility to help identify methods to prevent musculoskeletal disorders injuries. Participate in the plantwide safety/ergonomics teams. Order EHS supplies, PPE supplies and manage the PPE vending program. Actively seek and propose new methods or technologies to enhance workplace safety and efficiency. Aid in the development of the waste management program to improve waste reduction and improve sustainability initiatives. Work with production and management to foster a safety culture and address concerns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, safety, or a relevant field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5 years of experience in EHS within a manufacturing/construction environment.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Understanding of ergonomics and methods to prevent musculoskeletal disorders injuries.
  • Experience in facilitating in-house training programs.
  • Experience conducting accident and incident investigations.
