About The Position

FUCHS Lubricants Co. is the United States operating unit of FUCHS S.E., the world's largest independent manufacturer of specialty lubricants with global sales of over $3.5 Billion. They provide high-quality lubricants and services to a wide range of industries. The EHS Site Lead is a member of the North America Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Team, accountable for establishing, leading, and continually improving the site Environmental Management System (ISO 14001) and Occupational Health & Safety Management System (ISO 45001). This role serves as the principal EHS advisor to site leadership and drives regulatory compliance, risk reduction, and EHS culture. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive EHS experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated experience owning ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state regulations.
  • Ability to influence leaders and drive accountability.
  • Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHS management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain site-level ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
  • Lead internal, external, regulatory, and corporate audits and manage CAPAs.
  • Conduct environmental impact evaluations and safety risk assessments.
  • Oversee environmental permitting and regulatory reporting activities.
  • Advise site leadership on EHS risks and compliance obligations.
  • Mentor EHS staff and cross-functional contributors.
  • Track and report EHS performance metrics and KPIs.
  • Lead incident and non-conformance investigations.
  • Develop and deliver EHS and ISO training programs.
  • Participate in cross-site EHS initiatives and audits.
