About The Position

Frontier-Kemper, a Tutor Perini Company, is seeking an EHS Representative to join our Kensico-Eastview Connection Tunnel Project in White Plains, New York. The EHS Rep will monitor and enforce the individual Health and Safety plans of each project in conjunction with the site safety reps to ensure that all requirements are fulfilled. This role involves maintaining a safe jobsite, overseeing daily work activities, purchasing and distributing safety equipment, providing safety orientations, conducting daily stretch & flex and toolbox talks, ensuring compliance with JHAs and EHASP, monitoring activities at multiple construction sites, inspecting sites daily, assisting with the development and monitoring of job-specific safety plans and JHAs, reviewing accident procedures, preparing accident reports, maintaining MSDS and Hazardous Communication Program, gathering toolbox reports, generating daily reports, monitoring accidents, gathering monthly safety hours, conducting safety audits, managing and preventing hazardous working conditions, supervising and conducting safety and first aid training, documenting accidents and violations, conducting investigations, reviewing field documentation, accompanying inspectors, and performing additional assignments as requested.

Requirements

OSHA 30 credential is required to be considered for this role.
Bachelor's degree in a Health & Safety related program from an accredited institution
5 or more years’ experience as a manager or supervisor of safety teams
10 or more years of heavy civil construction.
Experience in underground construction, TBM experience highly preferred.
Familiarity and experience with NYCDEP safety and health regulations.
Current certification in first aid and CPR by the American Red Cross or its equivalent.
Proficient in Microsoft 365 software.
Current certifications in the following: LOTO Training Confined Space Training RCRA Training HAZWOPER 30 Hour OSHA Other BEDC Training

Responsibilities

Maintains a SAFE jobsite, monitors safety and takes appropriate action to correct any safety issues or deficiencies.
Oversee and interact with management and crews during daily work activities.
Purchase and distribute Safety equipment (PPE).
Provide safety orientations
Provide daily stretch & Flex along with toolbox talks.
Ensures compliance with all JHAs and EHASP.
Monitors activities at multiple construction sites.
Inspects construction sites daily.
Assists Project Manager and/or Superintendents with the development and monitoring of the job specific safety plans, JHAs.
Review accident procedure.
Prepares accident reports for any incidents that occur.
Maintain MSDS and Hazardous Communication Program.
Completes incident reports and distributes and maintains files.
Gathers toolbox reports from foreman and subcontractors.
From daily site activities, will generate a daily report.
Monitors all accidents and maintains appropriate paperwork and files pertaining to same.
Gathers Monthly Safety Hours from subcontractors for the monthly Report.
Maintains and conducts Safety audits.
Manage and prevent hazardous working conditions and unsafe employee activities through safety management and contact with field supervisory personnel.
Supervise and conduct safety and first aid training of staff at the project sites.
Document all accidents, safety violations, unsafe conditions/activities.
Conduct investigations with employees, subcontractor personnel and CCIP carrier for each accident occurrence or violation.
Review daily, weekly, and monthly field documentation to ensure all required records and reports are complete, accurate and submitted per established project procedures.
Accompany all safety, health, and insurance inspectors on walk through tours.
Additional assignments at the supervisor’s request.
