About The Position

The EHS Manager leads site-wide safety, health, and environmental programs to ensure compliance and promote a strong Safety-First culture. This role partners with leadership and employees to reduce risk, manage compliance, and continuously improve EHS performance and employee well-being.

Requirements

  • Ability to lead small, diverse teams with a focus on driving safety performance metrics.
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work with regulatory guidelines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding employee safety issues, investigations and company processes.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene preferred
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, PSM, and RMP regulations

Responsibilities

  • Foster a Safety-First culture by driving employee engagement and promoting an empowered, accountable workforce.
  • Partner with managers and supervisors to build strong relationships, serve as a liaison for safety initiatives, and ensure consistent accountability across all levels.
  • Collaborate with site leadership to identify potential EHS impacts and manage Ease audit programs to monitor compliance and performance.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs, policies, and procedures that align with company standards, and comply with all state, federal, and local regulations.
  • Lead new employee safety orientation and onboarding to ensure understanding of safe work practices.
  • Conduct and maintain Job Safety Analysis (JSAs) and Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs) to identify and mitigate risk in all operations.
  • Manage workers’ compensation claims and administer the JJ Keller safety compliance program.
  • Oversee incident investigation on reporting, including root cause analysis, corrective action planning, and verification of preventative measures.
  • Maintain all EHS documentation and logs, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage hazardous waste storage and disposal, including labeling, containment, reduction efforts, and documentation per regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are maintained and review all new raw materials for compliance and safety considerations.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to evaluate compliance and drive continuous improvement using data driven corrective actions.
  • Support emergency response efforts and provide first aid guidance as needed.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
