About The Position

RBS is creating its first dedicated EHS leadership position. We are looking for a builder, not a caretaker. We are seeking a hands-on Safety & Environmental Health (EHS) Manager to establish and strengthen safety programs, compliance, training, and employee engagement across our manufacturing, test center, and support operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the floor, solving problems, building systems from the ground up, and helping organizations improve safety performance through practical, sustainable solutions. RBS is seeking a hands-on Safety & Environmental Health (EHS) Manager to build and lead our safety function across multiple locations, including our Robesonia manufacturing facility, Indiana operations, and Test Center. This is a unique opportunity to help establish and strengthen safety programs, training, compliance, and employee engagement across a growing manufacturing organization. We are not looking for someone to inherit a mature EHS department. We are looking for someone who enjoys building systems, identifying opportunities for improvement, training employees, and creating practical safety solutions that support both employees and operations.

Requirements

  • 3-7 years of safety experience in manufacturing, industrial, food processing, or related environments.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  • Experience conducting audits, inspections, investigations, and employee training.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build relationships while holding people accountable for safe work practices.

Nice To Haves

  • ASP, CSP, CHST, OHST, or related certification.
  • Multi-site experience.
  • Food manufacturing, food processing, testing, or industrial experience.
  • Experience implementing or improving safety programs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain safety programs and procedures.
  • Conduct facility inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure OSHA compliance and regulatory readiness.
  • Lead incident investigations and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate employee safety training and awareness programs.
  • Support manufacturing, warehouse, maintenance, engineering, and test center operations.
  • Maintain safety records, reporting, and compliance documentation.
  • Identify hazards and work with leaders to reduce risk.
  • Travel periodically between company locations.
