About The Position

Industrial Physics is a global leader in packaging and product integrity testing equipment, providing solutions for manufacturers across various industries like Food & Beverage, Flexible Packaging, and Paints & Coatings. The company ensures the quality of packaging, materials, and products through trusted test and inspection solutions. This EHS / Facilities Maintenance Manager position is an on-site role located in New Albany, Indiana, with required travel. The manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs, while also overseeing facility maintenance operations at the New Albany, Jeffersonville, and Greensboro N.C. locations. The role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, fosters a culture of safety, maintains facility infrastructure, and supports operational effectiveness. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with regulatory compliance
  • Some travel required
  • Knowledge of OSHA and safety standards
  • Current OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain within one year)
  • Incident investigation capability
  • Knowledge of building systems
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with ISN Networld

Responsibilities

  • Leads the development, implementation, and maintenance of EHS programs in compliance with OSHA and applicable regulations
  • Exercises independent judgment in interpreting and applying regulatory requirements
  • Conduct hazard assessments, JSAs, and safety audits; implement corrective actions
  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis
  • Maintain OSHA logs and documentation
  • Deliver safety training (PPE, LOTO, hazard communication)
  • Serve as contact for inspections and compliance inquiries
  • Monitor and report safety metrics
  • Support environmental compliance activities
  • Maintain ISN Networld documentation
  • Oversee maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems
  • Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs
  • Coordinate contractors and vendors
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards
  • Support capital projects and upgrades
  • Maintain maintenance records and logs
  • Manage inventory of supplies and spare parts
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality and HR
  • Supports Service, Field Service and limited operations in Greensboro N.C.
  • Supervise maintenance personnel as applicable
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support emergency response and business continuity
  • Accountable for site-level compliance decisions and risk mitigation
