The Role We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Facilities & EHS Manager to lead the stand-up and ongoing operation of our new ~80,000 sq. ft. flagship manufacturing facility in Cypress, CA. This site will become the primary production hub for the company. This role is responsible for owning all aspects of facilities, environmental health & safety (EHS), and equipment maintenance across the site. You will play a critical role in bringing the factory online, partnering with construction teams, managing contractors, ensuring regulatory compliance, and building the systems and processes required to support a high-performing manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Head of Production, you will serve as the single-threaded owner for facility operations, safety programs, infrastructure reliability, and site readiness. You will also provide liaison support to our Redondo Beach site as needed. This role requires a highly independent operator who can build, scale, and maintain systems in a fast-paced, high-growth manufacturing environment.

Requirements

10+ years of experience in facilities management, engineering, construction, or a related field
5+ years of direct experience in facilities management, preferably in a manufacturing or startup environment
Strong working knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and industrial utilities
Experience managing construction projects, contractors, and vendors
Deep understanding of OSHA regulations, EHS programs, and compliance requirements
Experience developing and executing preventative maintenance programs
Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
Willingness to provide on-call support for facility-related issues as needed (including off-hours)

Nice To Haves

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction, Industrial, or Operations
OSHA certifications (e.g., OSHA 30)
Experience in aerospace, automotive, or high-mix manufacturing environments
Experience standing up or scaling manufacturing facilities
Background in capital planning and facilities budgeting
Experience managing hazardous materials and environmental compliance programs

Responsibilities

Support the bring-up of the Cypress facility, partnering with internal stakeholders and external contractors to ensure on-time, on-budget execution
Manage construction projects, vendors, and contractors with a focus on minimal disruption to operations.
Oversee installation and commissioning of facility infrastructure (power, HVAC, compressed air, etc.)
Serve as the primary point of contact for all third-party facility-related services (construction, janitorial, utilities, etc.)
Point of contact for landlord. Responsible for upkeeping compliance to Senra’s lease agreements
Own the maintenance, repair, and operation of all facility systems including building infrastructure, HVAC, electrical systems, and industrial utilities
Develop and execute preventative maintenance programs for both facility systems and production equipment
Ensure uptime, reliability, and scalability of all site infrastructure
Manage office and facility operations, including space planning and workplace functionality
Develop and execute site improvement and expansion plans to support production growth and rate increases
Lead capital planning efforts for facility upgrades and infrastructure investments
Manage project timelines, budgets, and execution for all facilities-related capital projects
Own and drive a zero-incident safety culture across the site
Ensure full compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, and all applicable local/state/federal codes
Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs including:
Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
PPE assessments
Hazard assessments and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs)
Oversee hazardous material storage, labeling, handling, and disposal
Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and compliance reviews
Lead investigations for incidents, near-misses, and corrective actions
Develop and deliver safety training programs for all employees
Conduct monthly safety reviews and reporting
Provide facilities and EHS support to the Redondo Beach site as required
Train employees on facility operations, safety procedures, and compliance standards
Build scalable processes and documentation for multi-site operations
