About The Position

The EHS Engineer is responsible for implementing and sustaining site Environmental, Health, and Safety programs that support regulatory compliance, injury prevention, and risk reduction. This role serves as a site-level EHS subject matter expert and partners with site leaders to strengthen safety culture, awareness, and accountability. This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Environmental Health & Safety and is part of the Environmental Health & Safety Department located in Lodi, CA and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Implement and maintain site EHS compliance programs and management systems in alignment with regulatory and company requirements Assess workplace risks, monitor occupational exposures, and develop corrective actions and injury-prevention strategies using Danaher Business System risk assessment tools Lead or support EHS projects, site inspections, incident investigations, corrective-action closure, emergency preparedness activities, and EHS committee engagement Interpret Federal, state, and local EHS requirements; conduct regulatory audits; and deliver documented site-specific safety and environmental training Support environmental and sustainability programs and metrics, including hazardous materials, hazardous waste, life safety, spill prevention, chemical inventory, energy, waste reduction, and water stewardship

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience OR Master’s degree in field with 0+ years of experience
  • Working knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems, assess risk, and develop practical corrective actions
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis, with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel up to 5%, including domestic and international travel, with overnight stays as required
  • Ability to lift, move, or carry equipment up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform work involving repetitive arm and wrist motions
