About The Position

The Temporary EHS Data Entry Specialist is responsible for accurate and timely entry of safety, environmental, and health data into company reporting systems. This role plays a critical part in maintaining operational compliance and providing the safety leadership team with clear, daily visibility into site performance, inspection tracking, and incident metrics.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 1–3 years of experience in data entry, administrative support, or recordkeeping
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook).
• Fast and accurate typing/data entry skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and high accuracy rate.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage confidential or sensitive injury and medical data professionally.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills to interact with safety inspectors and operational leaders.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's degree or administrative certifications preferred.
• Familiarity with EHS management software/databases (e.g., Intertek, or custom internal platforms) is preferred.
• experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or EHS environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Accurately enter and process incoming EHS incident, near-miss, and injury reports into UPrevent database in a timely manner.
• Collect, compile, and format daily safety observation data from site safety members to generate and distribute daily safety observation reports to key management.
• Input data from routine workplace safety inspections, facility audits, and hazard assessments; track identified corrective actions to closure.
• Audit incoming forms for missing details, follow up with field personnel to clarify incomplete data, and resolve discrepancies before logging.
• Organize and maintain digital archives of inspection records, incident documentation, and regulatory paperwork in accordance with record retention policies.
• Assist the EHS team in pulling raw data and running basic routine reports (weekly/monthly logs, trend summaries, open action items).
