About The Position

Pratt & Whitney is seeking an EH&S/CORE/Tooling (Environmental, Health and Safety/Customer Oriented Results & Excellence) coordinator based in Burlington, VT, to support on-site EH&S, CORE, and tooling programs. The employee will support the programs by administering EH&S and CORE plans and procedures, including Program Management, and assisting with scheduling, repair, calibration, and maintenance of tooling.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of EH&S experience.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the culture of the EH&S and CORE programs for the Burlington Service Center.
  • Responsible for the coordination and administration of EH&S management systems in accordance with RTX, P&W, and PWES policies and procedures.
  • Oversight and maintenance of assigned EH&S policies and procedures to achieve and maintain compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Partner with the Burlington Operations Manager & other RSCN/MRT EH&S pilots to ensure EH&S regulatory compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations and adherence to P&W procedures and RTX EH&S Standard Practices.
  • Coordinate/support first aid, injury reporting, and investigations.
  • Conduct/assist inspection/audits/assessments for injuries, spills, near misses, and develop corrective/preventive actions to achieve and maintain a safe workplace, practices, and improve overall performance.
  • Assist management with the identification and correction of unsafe conditions or practices to prevent adverse impacts to our people, organization, and company.
  • Maintain records, reports, statistics, and other data relevant to EH&S performance.
  • Lead and facilitate CORE Engagements across the facility.
  • Lead and facilitate DAISE (Previously DIVE) problem-solving across the facility.
  • Implement and execute Process Analysis (QCPC) across the facility.
  • Teach and demonstrate CORE Methods through everyday practice.
  • Assist in the scheduling, repair, calibration, and maintenance of tooling
  • Support other team members to provide tool improvements, solutions to technical problems, and mitigate safety concerns
  • Inspect purchased and manufactured tooling for desired specifications
  • Review tooling inventory and records for accuracy
