Arthrex Manufacturing Inc. is actively searching for an Environmental, Health & Safety Coordinator at the Pendleton, SC location. The successful candidate will identify safety improvement opportunities, evaluate existing programs, and assist in the development and implementation of control methods to reduce the frequency and severity of workplace accidents. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in occupational safety, health, or closely related field required
  • 2 years of direct professional experience in Occupational Safety, Health, or EHS required
  • Knowledge of State and Federal laws pertaining to workplace safety and health.
  • Has the knowledge and skills necessary to interpret regulations, permits, and other technical data.
  • Knowledge to effectively impact incidents through the application of fundamental injury prevention strategies.
  • Able to attend off-site training courses as necessary.
  • Must obtain First Aid, CPR and AED certification.
  • Works in a timely, organized manner, prioritizing workload and assignments

Responsibilities

  • Perform frequent inspections to ensure compliance with internal policies and associated standards such as OSHA, ANSI & NFPA.
  • Present training programs to personnel related to new employee orientation, accident prevention, and workplace safety.
  • Perform timely incident investigations involving personal injury and property damage.
  • Involvement in the creation and maintenance of company safety teams.
  • Develop equipment and job specific hazard analysis.
  • Establish equipment-specific identification placards for machines.
  • Perform periodic air, noise and associated industrial hygiene surveys.
  • Administer the Hearing Conservation Program
  • Assist in maintaining hazardous material storage areas and environmental compliance.
  • Must have flexible hours with occasional evening and weekend work.
  • Must be willing and capable of providing first aid care to others.
  • Travel occasionally both locally and abroad as necessary.
