Requirements

5-10 years of safety experience.
OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required at a minimum.
Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, lockout/tagout requirements, and construction safety practices.
Experience supporting multiple small capital projects in active or occupied facilities.
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with Construction Managers, contractors, and client stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

Laboratory, biopharmaceutical, biotechnology, cleanroom, or similar regulated-facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide onsite safety oversight for multiple small capital construction and renovation projects.
Conduct site inspections and monitor compliance with OSHA, client, and site-specific requirements.
Review contractor safety plans, Job Hazard Analyses, permits, training records, and certifications.
Oversee lockout/tagout and other high-risk construction activities.
Support safety orientations, toolbox talks, and training activities.
Track safety deficiencies and corrective actions through resolution.
Lead or support incident and near-miss investigations.
Meet regularly with Construction Managers and contractors to review upcoming work and safety concerns.
Maintain required documentation and communicate risks to project stakeholders.
