About The Position

An Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Assistant ensures a safe workplace in Celestica’s manufacturing environment by implementing safety programs, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring OSHA compliance. They investigate incidents, deliver safety training, and analyze data to improve safety culture. The role requires on-site presence, often requiring flexibility for shifts.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Safety Audit management.
  • First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly audits to identify risks and ensure compliance with OSHA and Celestica standards.
  • Lead investigations into accidents and near-misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Deliver safety training to associates and managers, fostering a proactive safety culture and influencing behavioral changes.
  • Maintain required safety documentation, records, and reports to meet local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Partner with site leadership to drive safety improvements and support emergency response initiatives.
