About The Position

Fern Ridge School District is seeking creative, outstanding coaching applicants for an Assistant Volleyball Coach position (potentially two positions) at Elmira High School. This role operates under the direct supervision of the Head Volleyball Coach, Athletic Director, and Principal of Elmira High School. The successful candidate will instruct and assist players with skills, sportsmanship, and perform other required duties.

Requirements

Complete an application within Frontline indicating ability in coaching/supervision skills and experience
Obtain and maintain a current First Aid/CPR card
Obtain the necessary OSAA certifications
Have a fingerprint background check on file with the Oregon Department of Education (cost is $87.50)
Obtain the necessary Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA) certifications (cost is $50)
Be willing to provide evidence of compliance with all Oregon Health Authority requirements for school employees

Submit (3) Three letters of recommendation
Current district employees only need to submit a letter of interest through Frontline
For Veterans' Preference: Submit a copy of the Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty (federal DD Form 214 or 215) showing character of service upon discharge OR a letter from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs indicating receipt of a non-service connected pension
For Disabled Veterans' Preference: Submit a copy of the Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty (federal DD Form 214 or 215) showing character of service upon discharge AND a copy of the veteran's disability preference letter from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (unless included on DD Form 214 or 215)
