About The Position

Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a EHS Analyst. This role supports the site in achieving EHS targets and objectives, and the development, maintenance, and achievement of goals in support of corporate and business group EHS strategic initiatives. The analyst facilitates risk assessment to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects, and supports the site leadership team to create targets and objectives based on key EHS risks, engaging all shifts and communicating updates daily. They also support the EHS Manager with developing and conducting required training and campaigns to promote a zero-incident EHS culture, and facilitate the engagement of the site MESH Team in ownership of MESH elements. The role involves working with the leadership team and MESH element champions to complete an annual evaluation of compliance for EHS country, state, and local regulations. The analyst uses established EHS data platforms like Benchmark to manage data such as injuries and illnesses, environmental metrics, risk assessments, and EHS action items. They work with the site leadership team and facilities to ensure key EHS operational controls are in place, on a PM program, and that EHS action items are resolved timely. Additionally, the role supports security assessments, workstation risk assessments, ergonomic assessments, and continuous improvement. The analyst will coordinate IH assessments (e.g., noise, hex chrome, welding) and employee medical evaluations (e.g., respirator use), attend incident investigations (injuries, incidents, spills, property damage & near misses), manage on-time closure and escalation of all corrective actions, and assist with layered process audits for EHS processes, ensuring follow-through and closure of findings (e.g., SWPP, SPCC, air permit checks, daily safety walks, waste inspections). The position also manages ISO 14001 actions using a project plan approach, provides weekly status updates, and supports problem-solving and tier meetings for various value streams, as well as the Emergency Response Team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution OR 5 years of experience in environmental, health and safety.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in environmental, health and safety program management and/or employee EHS training.
  • Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
  • No relocation assistance will be provided for this role.
  • Only candidates that reside within a 50-mile radius of Jonesville, SC will be considered.
  • Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, or environmental discipline.
  • OSHA & Environmental compliance management experience.
  • Active involvement with Emergency Response Teams (ERT).
  • Strong EHS background with emphasis on environmental programs.
  • Skilled in industrial hygiene oversight and implementation.
  • Experience in heavy industrial environments including fabrication and welding operations.
