The Enterprise EHR Applications Operations Design Analyst supports the Health Information Management (HIM) division leadership with managing projects and activities for IT implementations and changes; new departments/business development, regulatory changes, and performance improvement initiatives. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree
  • 2 years EHR Experience
  • 2 years Health Information Management Experience
  • Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) - American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) - American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on HIM applications and processes.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on health information laws and regulations including release of information, medical records management, confidentiality, information storage and retrieval, designated record set, and electronic health records management.
  • Collaborate with other leaders to roll out new initiatives or technologies, update performance measures and tracking, and institute educational opportunities for coworkers.
  • Participate in and lead committee or workgroups with clear roles, understandable information, and actionable outcomes to implement changes, resolve issues, and ensure ongoing effectiveness.
  • Identify, develop, and support implementation of internal process improvement solutions that support the HIM division.
  • Assist with data gathering, research, testing, and partnering with education and training for delivery of workflow changes.
  • Monitor and resolve interface errors in the EHR and document management system to ensure medical record data files correctly and timely.
