The EHS manager is accountable for the development and implementation of Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security (EHS&S) programs and best practices to ensure compliance with governmental agencies and alignment with Construction Products Group EHS&S standards. This role involves developing and communicating standards of EHS&S code of conduct, ensuring mutual understanding, and mitigating exposure to hazardous/undesirable conditions in business operations and product uses. The manager will lead the development and implementation of comprehensive regulatory compliance programs in occupational health and safety, hazardous materials management, environmental management, transportation materials safety, security, and product compliance. They will interpret regulations, develop legislatively compliant standards, conduct EHS&S audits, and represent the company with professional organizations, regulatory bodies, and governmental agencies. This position serves as the primary point of contact for Tremco CPG EHS&S business unit operations and associated staff, potentially acting as an expert witness in investigations and legal proceedings. The role requires maintaining up-to-date knowledge of EHS&S rules, regulations, and legislation, researching best practices, and investigating program innovations. The manager will prepare recommendations for pending legislation changes and develop proactive, cost-effective program options. Travel to Tremco CPG locations is expected to serve as a resource for policies, standards, and best practices. The role includes developing and implementing enterprise-wide EHS&S compliance programs, delivering tools and training, identifying and correcting non-code compliant processes, and ensuring business units are aware of and comply with EHS&S standards. Additionally, the manager will assess EHS&S human resources requirements, prepare and monitor the annual program budget, provide analysis on financial implications of EHS&S changes, establish regulatory guidelines and performance standards, and assist with investigating serious EHS&S related accidents and incidents. Guidance will be provided to business unit leaders to ensure operational plans are compliant with EHS&S standards, and standards will be developed for training, audit, and reporting. Feedback will be provided to senior management regarding the feasibility of business strategy from a regulatory compliance and EHS&S best practices perspective.
