About The Position

As an EH&S Manager, you’ll be part of our Engineered Fastening team located in Elyria, OH. You’ll get to lead, train, and cultivate an exceptional EHS culture within the division to achieve world-class safety performance and to meet increasingly stringent corporate performance objectives. You will develop and coordinate various internal auditing processes to ensure compliance with both internal and external regulatory standards such as OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001. You will deliver and track EHS training for all plant employees to ensure required annual safety certifications, incident prevention, emergency response and preparedness, and safe work practices. You will serve as lead interface with OSHA, EPA, or any other local, state or federal agency. You will manage and/or coordinate industrial hygiene surveys or studies to identify and control a wide variety of physical and chemical stressors. You will serve as the site’s liaison with designated global property insurance carrier to provide closure to open recommendations and to help ensure conformance with their requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, or related field
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in heavy manufacturing with demonstrated ability to implement EHS programs
• Detailed, working knowledge of OSHA and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations
• Practical experience managing EHS programs in conformance with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards.
