Requirements

  • Enrolled in an accredited Baccalaureate or Master's degree program (in a related field of study) with a G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Problem-solving skills, assertiveness and strong initiative
  • Team-oriented thinking with enthusiasm for continuous learning

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum completion of sophomore status in good standing preferred
  • Participation in school or extracurricular activities and experience in leadership roles preferred

Responsibilities

  • Participate in site audits to identify hazards such as pinch-points, electrical hazards, fork lift traffic etc.
  • Help with implementation of 5S program throughout the plant including organizing labeling and floor marking activities
  • Assist in updating Risk Assessments
  • Participate in the submittal of monthly EHS metrics
  • Participate in audit walks, Workplace Observation program, and corrective action determinations.
  • Assist in the execution of the EHS Improvement Plan
  • Actively participate in / help facilitate weekly Safety Committee Meetings
  • Assist in the administration of the facilities compliance calendar
  • Participate in / Lead safety projects as assigned with the help of the EHS Manager
  • Other miscellaneous tasks at the discretion of site management
