About The Position

This position is responsible for traying and receiving eggs, data entry, inventory, and general sanitation. Other duties may be assigned. The jobsite is a biosecure environment which requires showering, changing clothing and footwear before entering the facility. Appropriate clothing and footwear are provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelry and body piercings covered by appropriate clothing. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.). Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.

Requirements

  • Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months.
  • If applicant has been laid off or providing child or elder care, the employment gap will be increased to 18 months.
  • Previous work history will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months.
  • Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.
  • Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods.
  • Must use safe lifting techniques.
  • Must regularly lift up to 50 pounds and may be required to push or pull up to 1,100 pounds at times.
  • Regularly required to stand majority of shift (concrete floor); walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must reside in the United States to be considered for an interview.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous agricultural or production experience will be considered preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Places eggs in properly labeled buggies.
  • Performs proper inventory practices.
  • Cleans and sanitizes egg facility.
  • Monitors temperature and humidity readings in egg facility.
  • Assists egg truck drivers during pickups and deliveries.
  • Operate a high pressure and regular water hose, provide drivers with farm buggies, weigh new flock eggs, enter egg inventory, NC egg grade report, egg marking report, maintains a clean and organized work area.
