The EEG Technician is responsible for performing neurodiagnostic procedures under the supervision of physicians and a clinical supervisor within the Neurology specialty. This role involves direct patient interaction, utilizing customer service principles to ensure patients are calm and comfortable during procedures. The technician will obtain and verify patient health history, review previous records for relevant information, and produce results for provider interpretation. They will also provide basic patient care, conduct pre-test discussions, perform diagnostic EEG procedures, and assist with EMG testing setup. Adherence to infection control, safety guidelines, and confidentiality policies is crucial. Additionally, the technician will manage supplies, maintain equipment, and communicate effectively with both clinical and clerical team members to support a patient-centered practice.
