About The Position

The EEG Technician is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care for a specified group of patients. This role collaborates with physicians, medical professionals, and other staff to ensure the quality of care provided. The technician utilizes knowledge of growth and development principles appropriate to the patient's age to ensure care meets unique physical needs and involves appropriate parties in the patient's assessment, treatment, and continuing care as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with medical, nursing, and administrative staff.
• Any equivalent combination of education and work experience required to provide comparable knowledge skills and abilities.
• Able to demonstrate good ability to communicate using English language in written and verbal fashion, promoting a team approach to patient care
• BLS through AHA

Nice To Haves

• Six months experience performing non-invasive Electroencephalography procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conducts routine EEG studies throughout the hospital and in the laboratory for Holy Cross Health.
• Cleans machine and maintains equipment in working order.
• Performs and maintains long term video monitoring patients throughout Holy Cross Health.
• Provides care for the neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult or geriatric patient (as defined in the unit scope of care).
• Takes on-call responsibility and responds to emergencies during non-scheduled hours.
