The EEG Pruning Technologist is responsible for reviewing and condensing, or pruning, EEG studies and preparing preliminary results for Neurologist review. This role involves pre-screening and pruning EEG studies, inputting patient demographics and exam details into a report format, verifying proper import of EEG studies, compiling lists of missing items, and assisting in identifying hardware, software, or operational issues. The technologist must work within the guidelines of the American Society of EEG Technology, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, possess expert knowledge of EEG pattern recognition, and adhere to HIPAA regulations, Company Confidentiality, and Code of Conduct.
